Factory-Install Options
Since the 2009 commercial launch of our shade on Boston Whaler’s 370 Outrage, builders have started to recognize the value of adding SureShade as a factory-install shade option. Each year we are seeing new boat builders come on-board and existing boat builder customers add our shade on more boat models.
The growth trend continues as top boat builders choose to debut new boat models with a SureShade factory-install option or standard feature. In just the past year, we have seen the debut of boats with SureShade grow from 4 featured boats at the 2012 Miami Boat Show to a record 11 featured boats at the 2013 Miami Boat Show (and we’re pretty certain the record will continue to be broken at every major boat show going forward!)
It’s not surprising that boat builders choose major boat shows like Fort Lauderdale or Miami to debut new models – and we are flattered that they are choosing to debut them with our shades. The standout innovation in boating is a real show-stopper… getting the attention of boaters and the industry.
Demonstrating that boaters value comfort and convenience, our shade option has become one of the latest must-have innovative features on boats.
Factory-Install Standard Features
Our shades are so popular that some might say we have set the new standard for shade on boats. For Grady-White that is definitely true.
Recently, Grady-White debuted the all-new Freedom 375 with a standard shade feature. First available as a factory-install option on their Freedom 335, the shade proved to be a commercially successful option for Grady-White with a nearly 100 percent adoption rate by new boat buyers.
“The SureShade sunshade system was such a desirable option for Freedom 335 buyers that we knew we had to make it a standard feature on the new Freedom 375,” said David Neese, VP of engineering at Grady-White Boats.
Offering SureShade as a standard feature on boat models is quickly becoming the latest trend for factory-install shades. The flexibility of having a retractable shade that is well integrated with a boat’s hardtop or bridge makes it a natural addition to the overall design of the boat. More shade on a boat, with seamless functionality, is clearly a feature that boaters want.
Custom-Install Options
As more boaters see our shade on various boat models, they are beginning to ask their dealers for the shade to be installed on new boat models that do not yet offer it as a factory-install option.
SureShade is easily able to accommodate these requests, by either coordinating a factory-install or equipping the dealer with the means to install themselves on new boats prior to the customer taking delivery.
Boat manufacturers Intrepid and Tiara delivered factory-install shades to meet customer demand for more shade on their new boat purchases. And dozens of dealers from all over the globe have been able to close boat deals faster by accommodating the customer’s request for the shade as part of the overall commissioning of the boat prior to delivery. SureShade is proud to work directly with builders and dealers to impact new boat sales.
Aftermarket Installations
In addition to our list of factory-install shades, SureShade can be installed aftermarket for your brokerage boat clients by your service team.
Boat dealers can offer their clients aftermarket shade upgrades by installing SureShade automated or manual shades (like this automated shade installed on a 2013 Grady-White 330 Express by Cannon’s Marina). It’s a valuable upgrade that boaters need and want, and its extra product and service revenue for your boat dealership.
