MasterCraft 300 with retractable shade system and full cockpit enclosure to debut at the 2010 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – October 25, 2010 – The innovative 300 by MasterCraft is leading the industry as the first pleasure cruiser style boat offering a factory-installed automated sunshade system by SureShade, complete with a full cockpit canvas enclosure. The retractable sunshade system by SureShade is the latest high tech option offered on the revolutionary MasterCraft 300 and will be on display at the 2010 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Oct. 28 – Nov. 1.
MasterCraft continues to demonstrate that the MasterCraft 300 is unlike anything on the water. The critically acclaimed day-yacht features some of the most technologically advanced features for luxury, comfort and performance. The addition of a retractable sunshade system by SureShade further enhances the boating experience while adding to the stylish and innovative design of the 300. Boaters now have the option to enjoy the cockpit of the MasterCraft 300 in the sun or shade at the touch of a button. A full cockpit enclosure further protects boaters from the elements.
“We’re excited to be showcasing the MasterCraft 300 at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show with the automated sunshade system by SureShade”, said Scott Crutchfield, chief sales and marketing officer at MasterCraft. “The retractable sunshade is fully integrated with the unique glass hardtop of the MasterCraft 300, giving boaters the option to enjoy an open cockpit or be protected from the sun and elements with the sunshade extended and the cockpit fully-enclosed with canvas. This introduction continues to build on the series of innovative factory installed features that are a hallmark of the MasterCraft 300.”
During the design and installation process, MasterCraft and SureShade also coordinated with Taylor Made Systems, the manufacturer of the MC300 hardtop, to incorporate mounting tubes into the hard top and Gioia Sails for the full canvas enclosure.
“SureShade is delighted that MasterCraft chose to work with us on the first automated sunshade system complete with a canvas enclosure on a pleasure cruiser style boat,” said Dana Russikoff, business leader at SureShade. “From concept and design, to coordination of factory-install processes, our goal is for SureShade to become a natural extension of a boat’s design and ultimately enhance boaters’ experience.”
The MasterCraft 300, along with Hydra-Sports a division of MasterCraft, will be on display at the 2010 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in booth 2038 at the Broward County Convention Center. In addition to the automated sunshade system by SureShade, the MC300 on display will feature an aft cabin layout, glass hardtop, misting system and other innovative design and technology options.
