nmma convention eventsAs a technology station sponsor at both RNC and DNC events, SureShade supports the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s bipartisan commitment to growing the U.S. recreational boating industry

The boating industry’s trade association, National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), will represent its boat and marine manufacturer members at both the RNC and DNC conventions in an effort to educate the Congressional Boating Caucus, state delegates and other elected officials on the overwhelming impact that recreational boat, engine and accessory manufacturing has on the U.S. economy.

The NMMA will host approximately 50 elected officials and staff at a dedicated on-water event at marinas/restaurant venues during the Republican National Convention, August 28th and the Democratic National Convention, September 4th. The boating events are designed to build a closer understanding of our industry while engaging guests directly in the boating lifestyle.

SureShade, the designers and manufacturers of retractable marine shade systems, is proud to demonstrate its support for the NMMA events as a sponsor of their “new technology” exhibit station at both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions. Other marine manufacturers will join NMMA to assist in the education of key boating messages including: economic impact, new technology, US manufacturing presence, jobs, and boating access.

As recent recipient of a government SBA loan, SureShade is a small business start-up, manufacturer and exporter contributing to the growth of recreational boating and the “uniquely American manufacturing industry”. SureShade supports the growth of the recreational boating industry with a shade product line that enhances the boating experience, providing much needed sun protection to boaters without compromising the boater activities, while also giving a differentiating, value-added option for boat manufacturers and dealers worldwide.

The Republican National Convention “Day on the Water” event will be held at Aug. 28 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Hula Bay Club in Tampa, followed by the Democratic National Convention “Day on the Water” event on Sept. 4 at the Peninsula Yacht Club in Lake Norman, NC outside of Charlotte.
