Now Accepting Orders with “Soft Launch” of RTX Shade System on Select Boat Models
SureShade, the U.S. designer and manufacturer of retractable sunshade systems for the marine industry, announces a new “Notice of Allowance” from the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its “Pull-Out Manual Shade System” that is currently marketed in the recreational boating industry as the SureShade RTX Pull-Out Tele-frame shade.
The SureShade RTX Pull-out Tele-frame shade features a pull-out / push-in mechanism that allows shade to easily retract or extend. Utilizing SureShade’s flagship telescoping tubular framework, boaters can simply and swiftly pull-out and push back the shade in a matter of seconds. Canvas automatically rolls up on a torsion-spring roller with no physical handling of canvas. A necessary and unprecedented feature of this system is its locking device that prevents the shade from self-retracting from vibration or wind when fully extended, even while underway.
SureShade RTX is designed with unique figure 8 clamps for easy installation on smaller boats with an overhead tubular structure (like a tower or T-top), providing a lightweight and lower-cost shade option that meets the needs of the under 27 foot boat market.

The SureShade RTX notice of patent approval continues to reinforce SureShade’s position in the industry as the innovative leader in retractable boat shade products. The new patent approval adds to U.S. and International patents or patent approvals secured for every major component of their shade systems, including: telescoping framework, cambered roller, canvas control and mid-cross bar support.
In conjunction with the notice of patent approval, orders are now being accepted for the SureShade RTX Pull-Out Tele-frame Shade as it is rolled out to the boating industry with a soft commercial launch on select boat models.
