Inaugural Award Recognizes Fastest-Growing Companies in Greater Philadelphia; SureShade Honored as Only Business in Manufacturing and Boating Industry Sectors

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – September 23, 2016 – SureShade, the U.S. designer and manufacturer of retractable sunshade systems for the marine industry, was honored by the Philadelphia Business Journal in their inaugural award program “50 on Fire in Philly” as the #6 fastest-growing company in the Greater Philadelphia Region.

SureShade was the only business honored in the top 50 from both the manufacturing and boating industry sectors, touting a 73.4% two year average revenue growth.

Philadelphia Business Journal’s 50 on Fire in Philly list measured revenue growth over a three year period from 2013 to 2015, with revenue figures verified by accounting firm partner CliftonLarsonAllen LLP. The final list ranking came from averaging the percent change in revenue from 2013 to 2014 and the percent change from 2014 to 2015. Companies were required to be headquartered in Greater Philadelphia, have no parent company and have generated at least $750,000 in revenue in 2013 and at least $2 million in 2015 to qualify.

SureShade was also honored with the cover story for the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 50 on Fire special report issue where co-founders Ron and Dana Russikoff discuss how they turned their boat shade business into one of the area’s fastest-growing companies.
