SureShade IBEX 2017

New MTX Pull-Out Shade and ATF-SG “Silent Glide” Shade that offer OEMs and dealers improved functionality and flexibility for factory & aftermarket installations

SureShade, the U.S. designer and manufacturer of patented retractable sunshade systems for the marine industry, debuts two next generation boat shades to the marine industry at the 2017 International Boatbuilders Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) with the introduction of the SureShade MTX and SureShade ATF-SG boat shades – marking their 10 year anniversary since initial product launch at IBEX in 2007.

SureShade MTX offers builders and boaters a new manual pull-out shade system that leverages the telescoping framework, stainless steel construction, cambered roller design & functionality of SureShade’s flagship ATF Automated Boat Shade at half the cost.

MTX is a stainless steel, self-supported manual pull-out shade that has the look and feel of the SureShade ATF electric shade, but manual in operation. Available in 6FT and 9FT extension lengths, MTX is the ideal shade solution to meet both the popular and increasing demand for bow shade as well as the continued demand for obstruction and hassle-free shade aft deck.

Intended for center and dual console boats up to 45FT, MTX cross-components can be cambered like the ATF electric shade, making it a more suitable manual shade alternative for hardtops that have more curvature. The stainless steel construction makes it more aesthetically appealing for boat builders looking to integrate a manual pull-out shade on new boat models.

SureShade ATF-SG is a next-generation automated retractable sunshade system with “silent glide” technology producing 35% less noise than its current ATF electric shade.

With ATF-SG, SureShade has achieved a quieter electric shade system that does not compromise the streamlined design, framework dimensions or installation process of the current ATF electric shade. ATF-SG shade significantly reduces noise levels from 85-90 decibels to only 58-60 decibels when the actuator is operating during extension and retraction. This represents a 85% reduction in noise.

Given that the ATF-SG is virtually the same shade as SureShade’s current supply – only that it is quieter – it maintains the same packaged dimensions and operation and can be supplied for current boat models that offer the shade without any impact to current installation, engineering or new product development efforts.

“We are excited to debut SureShade’s MTX and ATF-SG shade systems at this year’s IBEX as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the launch of our flagship ATF Automated Boat Shade at the 2007 IBEX event that set our path for becoming an industry standard,” said Ron Russikoff, product inventor and operations leader at SureShade. “Our new product development remains focused on leveraging SureShade’s patented self-supported telescoping framework technology with new sunshade systems that continue to improve upon design and functionality for OEMs and, ultimately, an even better experience for boaters.”

Prototype demos of the new MTX and ATF-SG boat shade products can be seen during the IBEX show at SureShade’s booth #1349. Both products will be available for builders to order immediately after IBEX, and SureShade anticipates these new product debuts to generate considerable demand from OEMs, dealers and boaters.
